As such, plants growing here have special adaptations that allow them to grow and thrive in the tropical rainforest.

Students begin by completing a group task identifying the adaptations of a number of rainforest animals. Many animals are able to camouflage to avoid predators. The rainforest is divided into 4 layers namely emergent layer, canopy layer, understory, and the forest floor. The animals living in rainforest have good eyesight and hearing capacity to catch their prey as well as to protect themselves from predators.
